CCR Final Filming

Image
I completed my CCR today! I made a smoothie recipe video for part of my CCR and then made a presentation on Canva with images regarding parts of the CCR questions. I decided to shift over my Lego video to the third question and fill in the remaining minute and a half for that question with the Canva slides. I used Canva's "record and present" tool, playing my voice memo for question three while recording so that I could time the slides right. I then muted the recording, since it was echoey, and added the voice memo over top through InShot. I had to screen record the voice memos and use the "extract video audio" tool on InShot for this. I was able to use my smoothie video for most of question one (some of it was my stop motion white board video) and part of question two, using a Canva presentation again for the rest of question two. I used a Canva presentation for the entirety of question four. I used InShot to stitch all of my videos together and mute my vid...

CCR Filming

Image
This weekend I will be attempting to complete my entire CCR. I spent all day making two parts of my CCR:  I used an app called Stop Motion Studio to make a stop motion video introducing my CCR, using a marker to introduce the CCR in writing. I used my whiteboard and had to duct tape my phone to my camera's tripod. My phone drifted a little at parts because the duct tape slid, but I was able to complete this part. Using the app, I took a series of pictures (172 of them!), adding a little more to each letter of text until I had a video of the writing magically appearing on the board.  I also had a fun idea of using the app to make a mini Lego movie for the background of my CCR. I have a lot of Legos from when I was little, and my brother has a few Lego sets that he's built. I looked in his collection and found a Delorean Back to the Future set. I was thinking of ways to relate this to fitness in some way, and I came up with the idea of making a character want to break a wo...

CCR Recording

Image
My entire project is due very soon and I still have to film my creative critical reflection! I recorded all the audio for my questions today, but I need to decide what my background will be. I was thinking of doing a "day in the life video" of me laying out clothes, making a smoothie, making lunch, etc. I think I'll try to film everything tomorrow so that everything is ready to edit!

CCR Stop-Motion Intro

I thought it would be really cute to make a stop-motion introduction for my creative critical reflection. I used my whiteboard and an application called Stop Motion Studio on my phone. I didn't have an iPhone tripod, but I had a camera tripod, which I duct-taped my phone to. I also filmed myself introducing myself and the magazine title.

CCR Script Finishing Up

Image
I was able to finish the rest of my CCR script:   How did your production skills develop throughout this project?   "When I started creating my magazine, I was completely lost. I was told not to use any templates, which I tend to depend on heavily through Canva. My familiarity with Canva was helpful, but I am not well-versed in graphic design. My table of contents started off extremely plain and unprofessional. It was uninteresting and messy.       I decided that I would have to do more research to get my table of contents right. I took inspiration from all sorts of magazines, deciding on splitting m y table of contents into three sections , like in this table of contents from Woman’s World.        I also noticed that the table of contents in most magazines were a lot more condensed, and some of them had descriptions of each article . Most of them also had images with a page number on each image to indicate what article the picture pertai...
